7th October 2011 - Camp Wambelong - Warrumbungle National Park

Located about 35k West of Coonabarabran along sealed roads are two large open areas beside a creek. These areas are well grassed, level with some shade and open areas. There are two toilets, one in the camping area is a long drop and the other in the parking area for split rock visitors. The running creek had little water when we visited although there was enough to attract wallabies each day. Bring plenty of water (The Limited tank water is not suitable for drinking) and food if intending to spend an extended stay. The bush walks around the Warrumbungles will keep you fit and healthy
