The small settlement of Maude is 52k west of Hay along a bitumen road. The reserve is located just south of the Matthews Bridge which crosses the Murrumbidgee River at Maude. Opposite the General Store is the Maud Weir Reserve which has a shady picnic spot with BBQ facilities. Approximately 200metres further along the road is the Post Office Hotel where refreshments and meals are available.
Camping in the Yang Yang Reserve is grassy, level and well shaded with good access to the river for fishing. Small boats may be launched from the Reserve. The camping spots are a pleasant 20 minute walk from town over the bridge.
