24th October 2010 - Yetman - Central North West

Between Texas and Goondiwindi on the NSW side of the border is the thriving metropolis of Yetman. This is a town that you pass through when travelling along the Bruxner Highway. If you take the time to stop and have a look around, you will find the Macintyre River is easily accessible from the self registering caravan park. In the main street, is a hotel, garage and post office come general store for basic supplies. A short walk from the caravan park along a well defined track will bring you to the Macintyre River which is currently flowing freely. Powered sites with fresh water taps are next to an ablution block that is spotless and contains a free washing machine. We stayed three nights and enjoyed a local cricket game on the Saturday afternoon.
