2nd October 2010 - Dumaresq Dam Campground - Armidale

Just 14k North West of Armidale is Dumaresq Dam Camp Ground. A large grassy slightly sloping area with plenty of open areas and shade. A shelter shed has electric BBQ’s, tables a water tank and a large fireplace to keep warm in winter. There is a reasonably level walking track around the lake that takes about an hour to complete The toilet is septic and kept clean by a local council worker who visits every second day. The road from Armidale is sealed all the way to the dam. We stayed for a week without any trouble from locals and we found it a great place to stay in the New England District of NSW.
