20th July 2007 - Cangai Bridge Gwyder Highway - NSW

Located 63k West of Grafton or 96k East of Glen Innes, Cangai Bridge over the Mann River is only 2k off the Gwyder Highway and is reached by following Changai Bridge road which is a good gravel road. Across the bridge is a large open area with easy access to the river for swimming and / or fishing. The water is crystal clear and fairly deep in spots. There are no facilities at this site and is suitable for fully self contained vehicles only. Rangers patrol the area and a hefty fine for camping is enforced. We highly recommend this site to cool off in summer or chill out in winter. The only company we had were the cows and they wern't very talkative.–
