29th June 2007 - Woodenbong, NSW / Qld Border District, NSW

Located adjacent to the swimming pool, this camping area is currently undergoing improvement with the construction of a new large campers shed complete with tables, sink and plenty of room to enjoy a meal. For the cost of $8.00 per night, power and access to hot showers is available and the key can be obtained from the local store. Free camping without power or showers facilities are also available. There are four access roads to Woodenbong, firstly, from Warwick via Killarney and Legume. This road is fully tarred but very rough and is not recommended for either Caravans or Motorhomes. The second access is from Casino via Bonalbo. This road is also very rough and it is not advisable to use this route. The other two access roads are from Brisbane via the Mount Lindsay Highway or from Kyogle. A large flat area, some with asphalt pads are available and the park itself is a short walk to the local store. We recommend this spot for either an overnight stop or a longer stay.
