5th March 2006 - Wallabadah, N.S.W.

5th March 2006 - Wallabadah – Approximately 50k south of Tamworth on the New England Highway, boasts a riverside park that features memorial gardens in memory of the First Fleet and was officially opened on the 26th January 2005. Many of the headstones contain the names of the convicts, crew and passengers that came out to Australia in 1788. Adjacent to the gardens is an overnight rest area where bbq’s and toilets are provided. A few hours can be spent roaming the gardens prior to a restful night in beautiful surroundings.
